Orange County NEWH TopID Awards 2024

Friday, July 12, 2024

On Wednesday, June 26th, the TKO team attended the annual NEWH TopID Awards ceremony at the corporate offices of Taber Company, Inc., a custom architectural millwork, metalwork, and upholstery fabricator based in Irvine.

Presented by the Orange County region NEWH Hospitality Industry Network – an international nonprofit that creates a community within the hospitality industry and provides educational and leadership opportunities for its members – the NEWH TopID award recognizes top design firms for support and leadership in the hospitality industry as well as excellence in design and portfolio.

We at TKO are so happy to have joined the festivities as Sonya Miles, President of NEWH OC, presented the 2024 NEWH TopID awards to this year’s recipients: PD&A, Cadiz Collaboration, and Gensler San Diego.

NEWH Orange County TopID Award Winners

Planning, Design & Application, Inc. (PD&A) is a San Clemente-based design practice that emphasizes the importance of managing a project from start to finish with consistent quality and investment. With clients ranging from resorts, restaurants, and lounges, PD&A has established itself as a capable, multifaceted design firm. This year’s award was received by Michael Russell, co-founder and co-president of PD&A.

Cadiz Collaboration is a collective of design and fabrication professionals that believes in the innovative power of collaboration, approaching design as a team of problem-solvers. Cadiz Collaboration works in residential, luxury, and commercial spaces across the country and employs their diverse perspectives to provide their clients with unique solutions. This year’s award was received by founder and design principal Lorraine Francis and senior designer Jennifer Garramone.

Gensler San Diego is an architectural design and consultancy firm that operates under the One-Firm Firm model, fostering its company culture and establishing excellence through high levels of internal collaboration and mutual commitment to sustain a community of trust and support. This approach allows them to reimagine locations to not only suit but also improve the lives of the people who occupy those spaces. This year’s award was received by Veronica Sandoval, interior designer.

Being a part of this community and coming together to celebrate the triumphs of our colleagues and fellow NEWH members is an amazing honor, and we are so privileged to lend our support to such a loving, collaborative community. Congratulations again to this year’s recipients!
