Nature has played an important role in Ann Thornycroft’s life. Born and raised in the English countryside where poppies grow wild, Ann was surrounded by the cycles of nature, and her awareness of the interconnectedness of the seen and unseen, above ground and below ground took root in her childhood. The effects of those early influences remained intact and have figured in her artwork to this day.
In the body of work featured, titled Poppies, Ann lets go paints a “…totally spontaneous response to the flowers,” Ann states , “I can’t explain more about the way this large Poppy came about for me… except I had the big paper and was working with some other pieces and then this one appeared!” Educated at the Central School of Art, London and Chelsea School of Art, London, Ann has exhibited nationally and internationally and her work is owned by public and private collectors worldwide.

We love Harry Moody and during a recent studio visit, Harry showed us these incredible “Editions”. All oil on canvas with a four color process of applying and removing. Moody is fabulously talented and these ”editions” are a wonderful offering for under $500.
When we hear the word “editions”, most of us immediately think of a reproduction from the original generally numbered and signed by the artist. Harry has a different approach. In the following, Harry defines “editions” and shares his creative process. A great read!
The Venetian and The Palazzo kicked off Chinese New Year 2013 with a traditional dragon dance on Feb. 9, 2013. Members of the Yau Kung Mon Kung Fu School paraded through resort areas of both casinos, and even stopped to bless the Baccarat lounges.
To commemorate the Year of the Snake, the resort’s floral and horticulture department worked with a team of 77 artists and artisans from around the world, and consulted with a Feng Shui master to produce the massive animated art installation at The Palazzo. This colossal structure, created by TKOart, LLC, towers nearly 40 feet above The Waterfall & Atrium Gardens of The Palazzo, and features a giant peach blossom tree and animated snake, nick-named Sophie Chow.
